Expanding Access Year-Round

The project combined the renovation of a 16,500 SF stable building with the construction of the 45,000 SF McCausland Arena, a fully accessible, pre-engineered indoor facility featuring a 250’ x 150’ riding surface. Extensive site improvements, including resurfaced paddocks, a bio-retention basin, and upgraded stormwater management systems, ensure both rider safety and the long-term care of the horses while expanding Work to Ride’s ability to provide year-round opportunities for mentorship, skill-building, and growth.

Creating Opportunities for Growth

The expanded facility allows Work to Ride to serve more youth, more effectively, and in every season. With year-round access to lessons, polo training, and equine care, the program continues to build mentorship opportunities and life skills for its participants, while strengthening connections between the Philadelphia community and the sport of polo.
