Project Manager

Project Manager

Becker & Frondorf manages design and construction projects as the Owner’s Representative. With diverse and high quality project types, B&F Project Managers lead teams of people through the process of planning, designing and building. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team of Owner’s Representatives to help lead these dynamic and exciting projects.

Job Description
Our PMs provide the essential leadership to manage projects for companies and institutions that do not have the in-house staff to do so.  We utilize our market knowledge to help our clients minimize their risk and maximize the value for every dollar they spend.

Project Management job responsibilities cover a wide array of tasks. One of our core responsibilities is to establish and manage our clients’ budgets. We also develop a master project schedule and are responsible for executing the project. To accomplish these goals, we manage the Project Team which is comprised of all professionals needed to undertake a project.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have between three to five years of work experience in any of the following: architecture, interior design, engineering, construction, real estate development, or a related field.

Skills Required
Candidates must have an understanding of the design and construction process and be comfortable reading construction drawings. Candidates need strong people skills as they will be expected to manage teams of professional consultants, contractors, and third-party vendors required to design and construct projects.

While Becker & Frondorf trains our staff to understand the unique role of the Owner’s Representatives, candidates must have a range of other skills.  They must have exceptional organization skills and a strong attention to detail.  They must be proactive and capable of taking independent initiative.  They must have strong communication skills, and be comfortable with leading a collaborative process. They must have strong writing skills and be familiar with Excel. Most importantly—strong client skills are a must.

The position will require travel.

Becker & Frondorf will not pay costs associated with the relocation to Philadelphia.

Project Management Intern

Project Management Intern

Becker & Frondorf manages design and construction projects as the Owner’s Representative. We are seeking Project Management Interns for Summer 2022 to support our team of Owner’s Representatives lead these dynamic and exciting projects.

PM Job Description

We also develop a master project schedule and are responsible for executing the project. To accomplish these goals, we manage the Project Team which is comprised of all professionals needed to undertake a project.

Intern Job Description
During this paid internship, the Project Management Intern will support our Project Managers.  Interns may be asked to create certain foundational documents, conduct site visits, or create inventories of existing equipment. Tasks may vary. Some in-person work required. Interns would work between 20-40 hours per week. The intern will also have the opportunity to participate in our professional development program.
