Earth Day 2025: Projects that Make a Difference

At Becker & Frondorf, we are always proud to support clients who wish to integrate environmental responsibility into their goals. This year, for Earth Day, join us as we highlight a few standout projects that reflect our shared commitment to sustainable design and construction.

The Agnes Irwin School

B&F project managers recently supported The Agnes Irwin School in the completion of its new 90,000-square-foot Student Center. By merging cost‑efficient planning and sustainable design principles, we helped the school realize its vision for a facility that harmonizes student well‑being and environmental responsibility.

Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pavilion

In 2014, Becker & Frondorf assisted The Franklin Institute in the design and construction of its largest expansion to date. Upon completion, the 56,000-square-foot Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pavilion achieved LEED Silver certification for its’ use of sustainable building materials and recycling practices during construction.

Mt. Cuba Center

Mt. Cuba Center partnered with Becker & Frondorf to bring its new net-zero greenhouse and administrative complex to life. Designed to support sustainable horticultural practices, the grounds feature a nearly 8,000-square-foot conditioned greenhouse, as well as a new headhouse with offices, laboratories, and work areas.
