WHYY

B&F was retained by WHYY to oversee the mechanical upgrades to their headquarters on Independence Mall in Philadelphia. The project included the replacement of rooftop heating and cooling units and interior upgrades in offices, production spaces, and other areas impacted by new ductwork and VAVs. In late 2019, B&F managed the contractor bidding process on behalf of WHYY. As construction was ready to start, the Covid-19 pandemic hit. When the world began to open again in early 2021, B&F was called upon to re-engage the project team and coordinate construction. We performed regular site visits, participated in all construction phase meetings, and helped to gather the required documentation for RACP grant reimbursement.
