Sonesta White Plains Downtown
Becker & Frondorf provided full Project Management services for the extensive renovation of the Sonesta White Plains Downtown hotel. This $28 million project encompassed the complete interior modernization of the 403-room property, including all guest rooms and suites, public areas, meeting and event spaces, and amenity areas.
A Downtown Destination, Reimagined
Guest accommodations were redesigned with lighter color palettes and modern finishes, with a significant number of tub-to-shower conversions to enhance comfort and accessibility. Public spaces were fully reimagined, including a new lobby, the Whisk restaurant, and The Mix Cocktail Bar and Kitchen. 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space was also refreshed, highlighted by a newly introduced Sonesta Work Suite.
With numerous subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders involved, Becker & Frondorf provided hands-on coordination to ensure every element met the ownership team's standard of quality. Careful phasing and scheduling minimized disruption to hotel operations throughout the renovation. Located in the heart of downtown White Plains, the revitalized property has repositioned itself as a key hospitality and business destination in Westchester County.
