A launchpad for STEAM Learning

The Learning Lab was developed by TGR Foundation to provide free, year-round STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) programming, as well as college and career readiness support and health and well-being programs for students in grades 1 through 12. With a $4 million investment from TGR Foundation, the facility was designed to support up to 4,500 local students annually, offering access to high-quality enrichment opportunities that aim to transform futures.

From Vision to Completion

Becker & Frondorf provided full project management services from preconstruction through completion, ensuring close coordination with design teams, contractors, and philanthropic partners. We worked to maintain alignment with educational goals, meet funding requirements, and support a smooth delivery process.

Advancing the Campus Vision

As part of the broader campus vision, the TGR Learning Lab serves as a hub for equity and opportunity. Directly behind the facility, a 9-hole short course is already under construction, further expanding access to golf and outdoor recreation for local youth. Becker & Frondorf is proud to have supported a project that so meaningfully benefits Philadelphia’s youth and communities.
