B&F oversaw a major expansion of Club facilities spanning several acres that included a new pool with an adjacent food service pavilion and locker room facility; a paddle tennis hut and courts; several tennis courts; and two pre-engineered maintenance buildings.
Providing New Amenities for Club Members
Construction Phase Oversight
B&F was brought on during construction to supplement the Club’s staff with construction experience. The Club was in the midst of a $12 million construction project that included the demolition of eight residential buildings and the construction of six new buildings over a five-acre site. B&F monitored construction progress, assisted the team in troubleshooting when issues arose, and reviewed applications for payment on behalf of the Club. As part of our work reviewing change orders, we helped the Club’s staff to implement a system for monitoring job progress and weather delays.

Merion Cricket Club sits atop its Great Lawn with a historic Frank Furness clubhouse. Its amenities include state-of-the-art tennis, squash, and cricket facilities that attract national championship events. The Club’s food-service program garners a reputation for high quality dining. B&F helped to make sure that their new facilities were of the same high standards that members expect.
