Coordinating Two Projects at Active Residential Facilities
Evolving Care Needs
Senior Living facilities must continually evolve to meet the lifestyle and care needs of their residents. We provided full Project Management services for Erickson Living for the construction of a new 65-bed continuing care wing at Chestnut Pointe and simultaneously oversaw renovations of residential units and public spaces at the Rose Garden Building.
Carefully Phased Construction
Our team worked closely with Erickson Living and the local staff at Ann’s Choice to carefully plan construction and site logistics in order to minimize disruption to the residents’ day-to-day activities. Our Project Manager was on-site several days a week to ensure effective communication, confirm quality work was being performed, and to help manage community expectations.
Review Kept Project On Track
Brought in during the construction bidding phase for the Chestnut Pointe addition, we reviewed bids; helped award contracts quickly; and resolved issues between the general contractor, trades, and the design team to complete the project within budget.
Overseeing a Second Project
Midway through the addition project, B&F was asked to oversee phased renovations of residential living units at the Rose Garden Building. We worked with a different contractor to strategically plan improvements and coordinate the temporary relocation of residents to swing space as apartment units and common areas were upgraded over a 5-month period.
