Project Manager

Becker & Frondorf leads design and construction projects ranging from $1 million to $75 million.  We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team of Owner’s Representatives to help lead these dynamic and exciting projects.

Job Description

Our PMs provide the essential leadership to manage projects for companies and institutions that do not have the in-house staff needed to do so.  We utilize our market knowledge to help our clients minimize their risk and maximize the value for every dollar they spend.

Our job responsibilities cover a wide array of tasks. One of our core responsibilities is to establish and manage our clients’ budgets. We develop a master project schedule and are responsible for executing the project. To accomplish these goals, we manage the Project Team, the group of professionals needed to undertake a project.


For this position, the ideal candidate will have between three to five years of work experience in any of the following: architecture, interior design, engineering, construction, real estate development, or a related field.

Skills Required

Candidates must have an understanding of the design and construction process and be comfortable reading construction drawings. Candidates must have strong people skills as they will be expected to manage teams of professional consultants, contractors, and third-party vendors required to design and construct projects.

While Becker & Frondorf trains our staff to understand the unique role of the Owner’s Representatives, candidates must have a range of other skills.  They must have exceptional organization skills and a strong attention to detail.  They must be proactive and capable of taking independent initiative.  They must have strong communication skills, and be comfortable with leading a collaborative process. They must have strong writing skills and be familiar with Excel. Most importantly—strong client skills are a must.

The position will require travel.

Cost Estimator

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for creating cost estimates from sketches, drawings, narratives, and other related materials.


  • 2 – 4 years of architectural and/or building system experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited US institution in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Skills Required

  • Positive attitude, customer oriented, strong work ethic, and an enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to complete scheduled tasks on time and in a high-quality manner with a keen attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
